Six reasons why you may not be getting the most out of your CBD routine

When it comes to CBD, everybody is different and it can take a bit of experimentation to find the products and routines that work best for you. However, if you’re not seeing optimal results from your CBD oil, there may be a good reason for it.

We took a look at some of the most common reasons why CBD oil doesn’t offer the results people hope for so that you can make a few simple changes and finally start to find your groove with CBD products.

You’re using a low-quality CBD oil
For a long time, the CBD market was an unregulated and untested industry and a lot of low-quality CBD products snuck through the net and ended up on our shelves. These cheaper and often less refined CBD products can contain ingredients that water down or detract from the powerful properties of CBD.

Your CBD products should always come with a Certificate of Analysis which clearly shows what ingredients are in your products and accurately gives the amount of CBD that is included. You want to be looking for as few ingredients as possible and a bias towards CBD.

You haven’t found the right technique
There are many ways to get your daily dose of CBD and some techniques work better for some than others, it all depends on why you’ve chosen to head off on your CBD journey.

If you’re searching for new ways to introduce your CBD dose into your daily routine, make sure to check out our recent blog post that offers 10 different ways to do just that. You may find that taking your CBD oil in a completely different way is exactly what you needed to get things moving along.

You need to adjust your dosage
Finding the most effective dosage for you isn’t always straightforward for everyone, and it can take a little bit of trial and error, but once you find that sweet spot it can make waves in your wellness routine.

Our Founder, Michelle advocates a ‘start low, go slow’ method for those new to CBD. However, If you’re not seeing the results you were hoping for from your current dosage, try increasing or decreasing your daily dose to see if that can help. For example, if you’ve been taking a 5% CBD oil for a while and you’re still not feeling the level of effects you feel you need, then it may be time to increase your dosage to a 10% oil.

You’re not tracking your journey
Creating a CBD journal is one of the best ways to get the most out of your CBD journey. Journaling about your experiences with CBD can help you pinpoint the right dosage and the best techniques and track how you feel as you make small changes and adjustments.

Like we said above, finding the best way of using your CBD and nailing the ideal dosage for you can take some experimentation and your journal is where you can record all your findings. Having a CBD journal can be a great way of staying on top of your CBD routine and help you create a routine truly unique to you and your needs.

You haven’t given your CBD oil enough time
CBD is a natural product that needs time to build up and really take effect. CBD oil is recognised as a food supplement, so similar to taking vitamins - it’s not an overnight cure-all. When committing to CBD it’s important that you give the oil enough time to really take effect. If you’ve been using your CBD for 3-months or longer and you’ve still not felt any difference in your wellbeing, try making small changes like the ones we’ve highlighted in the above sections.

It can take a while to get things right and so we advise not to write off your CBD if they don’t work within a few short weeks.

You haven’t been consistent
As well as giving your CBD products enough time to work, it’s also important that you’re consistent with your usage. If you only take your CBD oil once a week, you’re not giving it a chance to really take effect. This is one of the reasons we highly encourage taking your CBD oil at the same time every day as part of an established routine. The more consistent you can be, the better your results will be long term.
